HOW WE MET

What a luxury it is to know someone so fully you can recall a time when you studied in the high school library, discovered yourself in college, or  learned how to survive through your wild 20’s; a decade that included navigating a pandemic, living in our 1st apartment and caring for a crazy, amazing puppy.

“Bella sat in front of me in Spanish class, anytime I didn't understand what was going on in class I would tap on Bella’s shoulder and ask her. At first it was because Bella understood Spanish better than me and I really needed help. She was always kind and fun to talk to, she was always smiling. Then I started coming up with excuses to talk with her in class, the teacher was always catching us laughing about something during her lesson.”

“When Ty initiated our 1st kiss, I was scared of losing my best friend. He had become the friend I wanted to share all my wins with and tell every thought to.  But a couple hours later I was texting him that I wished I had kissed him back because if our friendship could be so beautiful, imagine how amazing something more could be?”

The Proposal

Ty proposed on June 6, 2026 at Carmel Beach. He spent months planning all the sneaky ways he could surprise me, including planning both our families to join us after I said “YES!” It was a weekend full of so much love and joy to have our families together for the 1st of many occasions. Having grown up in Carmel, Ty knew the town has a special place in my heart; and even more so now!
